 "November is a great time to uncork a few nice bottles of wine," says Jon Rusciano, Sally's Place wine writer. Tasty vintages are always welcome around the holiday, perfect to share with family and friends. And because turkey is a light meat, think hearty flavors when you choose your holiday wines. At the top of Jon's list, if this is your pleasure, are the bubbles. Schramsberg primarily Pinot Noir offerings are Blanc de Noirs, Brut Rose, Mirabelle and Mirabelle Brut Rose.  Hearty red Zinfandels are also on his list, especially those produced in Napa and Sonoma. The steep slopes of Howell Mountain, Zin mecca to Jon, offers producers Robert Craig, Outpost and Lamborn. The Napa Valley floor produces Chase Family Cellars and Sonoma's top Zin producer is Hartford Family, as well as the jammy flavors of Martinelli. More accessible, especially if you shop at the last minute, are Ravenswood, Rosenblum and Seghesio.
