Shelley Skiles Sawyer

Shelley Skiles Sawyer's (cssawyer@mindspring.com) passion for food and entertaining is deeply rooted in several generations of women who treasured every aspect of cuisine, from seed to plate.  A detour as an attorney practicing international corporate law brought her to Atlanta, where she nurtured her creative side by reviewing restaurants for various publications. She eventually heeded the culinary call full time, and began producing food-related features for CNN. She has had weekly columns in Creative Loafing, and reviews and articles that have appeared in Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, The Wine Report and Bon Appetit. She has been the local editor of Zagat Survey’s Atlanta Restaurants guide since 1997, and is also the Managing Food Editor for Flavors - The Forum for Atlanta Food Culture and Dining, a quarterly publication. Sawyer also does multi-media marketing and recipe development for HoneyBaked Ham. She is a member of The Southern Foodways Alliance and a founding member of the Atlanta chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier.
