Even carnivores will enjoy the food here and the light, airy dining room with a panoramic view of the Marina and Golden Gate Bridge is a bonus. Affiliated with the Green Gulch Zen Center, much of the produce served at the restaurant comes from the center's famous organic farm. While it's vegetarian, you would hardly guess from the surprisingly rich creations of cheese and creme fraiche are kitchen favorites. The menu changes periodically, but you might find delectable corn fritters, a southwestern corn tart, or pasta and pizza. Reserve a table far in advance; Saturday nights there's a prix fixe menu. The to-go counter serves soups, creative salads, and sandwiches, plus very good baked goods.
