Andy Lax (andylax@gmail.com) was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan. His short career as an archaeologist led him around the country from New Jersey through Iowa and finally to San Francisco in 1996 where he has been ever since. After eating his way through San Francisco's restaurants he has decided to leave anthropology for a career in the culinary industry. His next stop was the California Culinary Academy where he began classes in March of 1999.
