Welcome to Nickel & Nickel, an exciting, new Napa Valley winery devoted exclusively to producing 100 percent varietal, single-vineyard wines that best express the distinctive personality of each vineyard. Based in Oakville, CA, on the beautifully restored, historic John C. Sullenger farmstead, Nickel & Nickel was founded by the partners of Far Niente in 1997, produced its first wines that same year, and opened the winery this month. Nickel & Nickel is open to the public for tours and tastings by appointment.

The American Cheese Society (ACS) holds its Festival of Cheeses in San Francisco, CA at the newly remodeled Ferry Building on Saturday, August 2nd. More than 400 artisan and farmstead cheeses will be available for tasting at the event, Festival of Cheeses, which will be open to the public for the first time this year. Tickets to the event are $65.00 in advance and $75 at the door.
