7 spices and seasonings you never knew you needed until now

Spices and seasonings are the ideal way to make certain food taste just the way we want it. For example, some people prefer their fries with no seasoning, while others just can’t stand simple fries.

In short, they make food much tastier and satisfying as well. Exactly what one needs after trying some Delta 8 THC and while experiencing the munchies.

As such, in the following article, we’ll introduce you to seven spices and seasonings that can turn day-to-day food into something extraordinary!

Turmeric
This is often referred to as the miracle spice – but we’re almost certain that most kitchens have never seen this spice! The deep yellow ingredient will add a vibrant yellow color to any dish.

Then, it will also contribute to an overall health boost for your body!

Sumac
Often used in the Middle East, sumac is a tangy spice that comes with a rather interesting citrusy taste – despite its velvet red color.

People often add it to a marinade or use it as the only seasoning in some Eastern-style pizzas. Moreover, it is also one of the main ingredients used in za’atar, a traditional spice blend.

Cumin
If you’re a fan of Indian or Mexican cuisine, then you most likely have already tasted cumin.

This spice has a special nutty quality and warm taste, making it the ideal choice for many spicy Mexican dishes or for the traditional Indian cuisine.

Garam Masala
Garam Masala is a spice blend, usually made from mace, cumin, peppercorns, cardamom, bay leaf, coriander seeds, cinnamon, and clove. As the name implies, it is often used in masala and it ensures its familiar taste.

Naturally, this doesn’t mean that you can’t use it to spice other food!

Cardamom
This is yet another common Indian spice and is used to either season dishes or in the baking of some food. It comes with what many describe as a truly unique and aromatic flavor that can turn taste to 100 degrees.

There are more than enough common recipes that add cardamom for a change of scenery!

Sichuan Pepper
This is not your ordinary pepper. Moreover, it’s not a replacement for chili peppers, as some people say, either.

Sichuan pepper is special because it makes the mouth tingle and prepares it for more sudden tastes. This is why spicy dishes should come with a dash of this type of pepper.

Chinese Five Spice
Just like the Garam masala, the Chinese five-spice is a spice blend, ready to turn your dish around. It is a mix of star anise, cinnamon, Sichuan pepper, and fennel seed. It is commonly found in Chinese take-out food, so you must’ve tasted it already!

But if you haven’t, you just have to sprinkle it over noodles, veggies, or chicken and enjoy its flavor!

The Bottom Line
Life’s too short to stick to only a couple of spices or seasonings! Given that every store’s spice section comes with so many bottles of different colors and textures, you should definitely try everything that catches your eye!
